Saskatchewan woman told next mammogram slot is November 2027
A Saskatchewan woman with a family history of cancer says she was told the next available slot to reschedule her mammogram was November 2027. NDP MLA Jacqueline Roy said she has heard similar accounts repeatedly and called the province's claimed one-to-two-week wait misleading, saying women often wait that long just for a booking call, then wait months more. Health Minister Jeremy Cockrill said most screening appointments are booked within one to two weeks, though Regina is booking into February 2027. He cited shorter biopsy waits, more than $15 million for Saskatoon breast health and an agreement sending patients to Calgary.
